Dallas Children’s Advocacy is one of the first children's advocacy centers to be established in Texas which now has over 70 centers of varying sizes and scopes of services. DCAC opened its doors in 1991 and today serves over 6,500 children and their non-offending family .

It provides help to people with disabilities in Texas to expand and defend their rights, including supporting self-advocacy groups and legal assistance.
